Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend for students and part-time jobs. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and she pondered what alternative route she could take. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, as a member of the group called Dragons Playground. She quit the band prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. The singer was lead vocalist in The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. It was during this time that she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut album Diva. It came out in 1993. The album was hugely successful both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite blues, soul and jazz songs. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection comprised of four songs that were improvised. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let it go... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first self-released album.
