Lucy Lawless, a New Zealand-born actress and singer, is a well-known name within the entertainment industry. The most notable of her work are the notable roles she played in a variety of popular television and film series including Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. This role was initially intended to be played by actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy after she was unable to join the filming due to illness.
